A couple of years ago we lost the most important part of Tonja's Toffee, she went to be with Jesus. Tonja loved to make candy for her family and friends during the holidays. It brought alot of joy to those around her. As we processed all of our new lives without her we decided that toffee could not pass with her. Her mother Carrie Marion decided to take action alongside Haley ( Tonja's daughter). Now we have started the company again and share the same passion that Tonja did. We love cooking together, laughing together, and enjoying our time together. It is truly a "Timeless Tradition" We hope that you try the toffee and fall in love just like we have.
Here is Tonja's original letter to her customers:
As a little girl I loved my mom's toffee! Often times she would whip up a batch as the family sat around the kitchen table playing games. It was the holiday season, and the house was full of the laughter of friends and family as the smell of toffee hung in the air. Ahhhh.....Those are great memories. As I grew older she began to let me stir the pot and then make a whole batch under her supervision. I remember calling home from college asking how to make toffee so I could take it to a Christmas party for the college youth at church. Amazingly it turned out! Since then I have eaten and cooked a lot of toffee. Along the way I have tweaked Mom's recipe to make it my own. About six years ago I decided to take a friend's words seriously and try selling toffee at Christmas. That was the beginning of Tonja's Toffee. I make toffee year round now, it's not just a Christmas candy anymore. If you have never tried it, I hope you do. It makes great gifts for teachers, men, women, housewarming, customer appreciation, hostesses, that "hard to buy for" person in your life, card parties, Valentine's Day, just about anything you can think of. My daughter was married in 2011 and we made it for her wedding favors. The guests LOVED it!! If you've never tried toffee I hope you will. I bet it will soon be one of your favorites too! -A letter of love for what she did and a true description of what she loved about toffee and family- *In memory of Tonja Williams (Original Owner)
